Pell City Hotels

Chances are, if you're a regular visitor to the Talladega races you've probably stopped by and stayed at one of the several Pell City hotels. Over the past 10 years, Pell City has received a significant and steady population increase, and this growth has attracted many new businesses to the once small town, including new hotels, supermarkets and fine dining restaurants like the southern favorite Cracker Barrel, and Golden Corral just to name a few -- and this makes Pell City a good choice to stop and rest for the night while attending the Talladega races, or just for a place to stop and rest while traveling. Before I go into a listing of the hotels in Pell City, I'd first like to discuss a few important things you may want to know before staying at any of the following Pell City hotels.

The first thing you need to know is that there are no entertainment locations, such as movie theaters, in the town itself. There are movie theaters in relatively close proximity however, including Carmike Martin 3 in Talladega and Regal 16 in Birmingham, roughly 20 miles and 30 miles away respectively. The second thing you need to know, and this is not a negative, is that most everything is really close together. Most of the main Pell City hotels are all located right off the exit on Vaughan Lane, and Vaughan Lane is directly beside where most of the fine dining restaurants are located. There's also a Wal-Mart right next door to most of these, and a Walgreens across the street.

That's the basics of what you can expect from your stay at any of the following Pell City hotels, now let's get to the good stuff: the hotels in Pell City! I live here myself, so I can't give you a review from the perspective of someone who stayed at these personally, but I will try my best to be as informative as possible about each one without being too opinionated; a lot of my friends and family come to visit from out of state, so I've got at least a pretty good idea of what kind of accommodations you can expect from these hotels. Here is the list of Pell City hotels:

Comfort Suites

This is probably the best hotel in Pell City -- it has just about everything you'd want from a hotel. It has a swimming pool, the food is excellent, the rooms are great and the staff is awesome -- it's really quiet, too. If you're looking for a quiet hotel to stay for the night, or even a couple of days, this is your best option.
Address: 270 Vaughn Lane, Pell City, AL 35125
Phone number: (205) 338-5570‎

Hampton Inn

If you've ever stayed at a Hampton Inn before, you know what to expect here. This Hampton Inn is probably no better or no worse from any other Hampton Inn you've stayed at before. It has all the basics: swimming pool, wireless internet, and a gym. They also opened up an area where you can do a little golfing.
Address: 220 Vaughan Lane, Pell City, AL 35125
Phone number: (205) 814-3000‎

Holiday Inn Express

Holiday Inn Express is another conveniently located hotel, also on Vaughan Lane -- and it's very nice. The hotel has a swimming pool, a gym, business center and has the daily USA Today papers available to you. The hotel rooms themselves include a 27" TV hooked up to satellite, microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer and a coffeemaker.
Address: 240 Vaughan Lane, Pell City, AL 35125
Phone number: (205) 884-0047

Quality Inn

Quality Inn is also located right off the exit, but across the bridge from the Wal-Mart shopping center where the other hotels are located. This Quality Inn is fairly nice and offers most of the basics you would expect from your stay, such as an exercise gym, fitness room, internet access, cable TV in your room, as well as a microwave, coffeemaker and hairdryer.
Address: 1410 Parkhill Parkway, Pell City, AL 35125
Phone number: (205) 338-1314‎

Lee Motel

If you're just stopping by for the night, or you just want an inexpensive place to stay for the duration of your trip, this is a pretty good option for you to consider. The rooms are fair and include a small TV hooked up to cable, but there is no internet access.
Address: 17 22nd Street North, Pell City, AL 35125-1769
Phone number: (205) 338-7221‎

That's it!

I hope this article was informative to you, and if you have any questions about any of the Pell City hotels listed in this article, feel free to leave a comment and I'll try to answer as best as I can. You can also leave any reviews for the hotels listed here to help out other readers.

Nice Place - Thanks for the interesting info. Refering to the last photo - I'm just wondering, if that is blue sea in the background...

Nope, that's just the blue summer sky -- it sits on top of a pretty big hill. That picture is actually fairly old (only one I could find), because the trees behind the Quality Inn have grown up quite a lot. Wouldn't be able to see sky like that behind it anymore.
